Tahakiki 3

Helen Simengwa

Enock Maregesi’s novel “Kolonia Santita: Laana Ya Panthera Tigrisi” is set for the most part in Copenhagen, Denmark and Salina Cruz and Mexico City, Mexico, where a powerful cartel has overwhelmed the United Nations and law enforcement agencies across the globe. It is the first book I have read in the spy-espionage genre so I did not know what to expect. If you think you have attained a lot of knowledge think again, because in this book knowledge has no bounderies. There is too much fun to be sad and too much knowledge to be ignorant. The research is sufficiently woven into the simple-ply narrative, and Enock Maregesi has succeeded in exploring what it takes to bring notorious criminals to the power of justice.

In this groundbreaking debute novel, 4 WODEA special agents are deployed to Mexico (under the commandership of Major John Murphy Ambilikile of Tanzania) to work in line with the Mexican Army, DEA and WODEA’s own law enforcement agency WPD; to stop a huge contraband of illegal drugs and nuclear materials from leaving Mexico, and apprehend the three most powerful drug criminals in the Western Hemisphere – as well as destroying their ships, submarines, buildings and finding out the true identity of HVT Panthera Tigrisi. There is action (a lot of it), romance, conspiracies and sense of humor to forget the natural world and escape into this fictional world that the author has created for his audince. It is very impressive (as debuts go) and it explains the demons that plague villains and heroes in any thriller international bestseller.

I look forward to reading the sequel (if any) and finding out what destiny has in store for WODEC and Murphy’s heroism. Already a huge fan of Enock Maregesi.

  1. Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your content seem to be running off the screen in Opera. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The design and style look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Cheers
